Sustainable production
Our growers use a sustainable Integrated Fruit Production (IFP) approach to producing our apples and pears.
By prioritising human health and the environment, our production systems focus on biological and cultural controls to manage pests and disease, only using chemical interventions when absolutely necessary.
Protecting our soils and water
Growers optimise soil health by boosting the fauna and micro-flora to encourage naturally rich, resilient soils for future generations to come. Using minimum fertiliser, natural production systems ensure the future of our soil.
Our water is precious and growers use only what is necessary to grow and pack quality fruit. Precision irrigation in orchards and high-tech washing systems in our packhouses enable efficient water use.
Focused on our climate
The New Zealand apple and pear industry is low emission and low impact. We work closely with scientists and growers to pioneer new ways of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and prioritise our climate.
