Braeburn
NEW ZEALAND ORIGINAL
Braeburn apples have a bold red stripes over a yellow background with just a touch of green. A large very firm aromatic apple, with a crisp crunch, lots of juice and the tantalising mix of sweetness and tartness that makes this one of New Zealand favourite apples.
Developed from a chance seedling found on a Nelson orchard in Nelson in 1952, Braeburn is now one of New Zealand's major export varieties to Europe.
Pacific Queen™
NEW ZEALAND ORIGINAL
A large deep red crimson apple with small cream-speckles. It has a sweet inner flesh, with a crisp texture.
Discovered by Hort Research, New Zealand in 1993 from a Gala Splendour cross.
Cripps Pink
Cripps pink has a distinctly pinkish colour with a pale-yellow background. It has a unique, tangy-tart, sweet flavour. It is crisp and firm, with a creamy white flesh that resists browning when sliced.

Honeycrisp
Honeycrisp apples were originally developed at the University of Minnesota and released to growers in 1991. Since then the Honeycrisp apple has become extremely popular due to its crunch and balance of sweetness and acidity. Honeycrisp need a colder climate to develop their texture and flavour, which makes New Zealand South Island an ideal location to grow.
